Selextorhood

Addressing Gender Imbalance

Selextorhood was born out of an inherent imbalance and the glaring underrepresentation of women and gender minorities in the music scene.

Selextorhood embarked on its journey in 2019 and began as a series of monthly DJ workshops. Over time, it has organically evolved into a vibrant community deeply rooted in Birmingham, committed to empowering and uplifting women and gender minority DJs and producers.

As the past three years have unfolded, Selextorhood has displayed remarkable adaptability in the face of various challenges. Today, it thrives in both the online and offline realms, providing a multifaceted platform for its members.
